2007 Hors
d'oeuvres
Contest
and Pie Throw
On June
20, Rick Lentini stepped up to the
plate and took two pies to the face
to benefit Childhaven, an
organization with the specific
mission of breaking the cycle of
childhood abuse and neglect, serving
children from as young as one month
to six years of age. After a
lively round of bidding among
attorneys and staff, led by resident
attorney/auctioneer Dan Caine, legal
secretary Capri Karaca and paralegal
Cristina Di Gennaro won the
privilege of tossing the pies.
Held in conjunction with the firm's
hors d'oeuvres contest, the combined
events raised more than $9,600 for
Childhaven. For more

June 2007 –
Seattle Works Day Event
On Saturday, June 9,
six volunteers from Ryan, Swanson &
Cleveland spent a day getting down and
dirty for Seattle Works. Working
at Warren G. Magnuson Park at Sandpoint,
we pulled invasive weeds and spread bark
along the shore of Lake Washington as
part of Seattle Works Day. The
event brought together teams of
co-workers, friends, alumni and other
social and professional groups for a fun
and easy way to green up Seattle and
support Seattle Works. 1,000+
participants at 30+ project sites added
up to nearly 4,000 hours of service in a
single day!
Seattle Works is an organization for
people in their twenties and thirties
who desire to 'give back' where they
live and work, and who will continue to
demonstrate their mettle as volunteers,
activists and patrons bringing positive
impact to their communities. After
16 years of operation, Seattle Works has
become the premiere organization for
people in their twenties and thirties in
the Puget Sound. Learn more at

February 2007
Each year, the attorneys and
staff of Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland
select a theme for the firm's charitable
giving program. "Protecting Our Future"
is the theme for 2007, recognizing
the importance of providing and caring
for children in need through monetary
donations and community
service. Throughout the year, Ryan
Swanson will be supporting projects and
events benefiting children in our
community.
