Paul is a member of our firm's Business, Licensing & Technology and Real Estate Groups. On a day-to-day basis, he provides the advice and services clients need to achieve their business goals. Paul's focus is on business formations, business and real estate acquisitions and financings, and other commercial transactions. He represents both start-up businesses and established companies. Paul has considerable experience representing technology companies in venture capital financings, joint ventures, and licensing and marketing agreements. Paul is also experienced in the purchase and sale of dental and other professional practices.

Background

Paul is a life-long Washington resident and lives in Kirkland, Washington. Paul joined Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland in 2000. In his spare time, Paul enjoys sea and whitewater kayaking, skiing, and hiking.

A Lawyer Who Will Help You Achieve Your Business Goals

After college, Paul spent almost a year working on the successful campaign of a U.S. House candidate from Washington State. Paul spent a second year as the congressman’s aide in Washington, D.C. following the election before going to law school. One of Paul’s most important responsibilities was assisting constituents from Washington State when they encountered special problems with federal agencies and government red-tape. Paul continues to help clients resolve regulatory and other issues in his work as an attorney.

Paul enjoys assisting clients ranging from startup businesses to established companies achieve their goals. He says, “On a recent day, I helped an individual start her first business venture and also negotiated a licensing agreement for a multinational technology company. I enjoy working with clients with different backgrounds on a day-to-day basis. Whether the client is a single business owner or a multinational company, we provide reliable legal advice and assist each client in achieving its business objectives.”
